The RPM AGM will take place at 11:00 AM, Sunday December 4, 2011 at the White Crystal Inn at Big White Ski Resort, Kelowna BC.

Subject: Nominations for CARS President / Nominations au poste de président de CARS

Nominations are now being accepted for the position of CARS President, who will be elected by the Board of Directors before the annual meetings held in January 2012. The term of office is one year, and will begin in January. Candidates must be members of a CARS club and basic qualifications include;
- A comprehensive understanding of rallysport
- Superior verbal and written skills,
- Demonstrated abilities to lead volunteer organizations,
- A strong commitment to teamwork,
- Ability to work with diverse groups, including rally organizers, competitors, volunteers, sponsors, and media.
- Fluency in both English and French would also be an asset.
The president working together with the Board of Directors establishes annual and long range planning priorities, goals and objectives. He or she also chairs all meetings of the Board, represents CARS on the ASN Canada FIA advisory Board and also acts at the direction of the Board as necessary.
Nominations will remain open until December 15th, 2011. If you are interested, or would like to nominate another candidate, please notify the CARS office and provide your contact information as well as a brief resume of your qualifications. La période des nominations au poste de président de CARS est maintenant ouverte. Le prochain président sera élu par le conseil de CARS avant l’Assemblée générale annuelle de janvier 2012. La durée du mandat est d’un an et commence dès sa nomination. Les candidats doivent être membres d’un club affilié à CARS et il serait souhaitable d’avoir les qualifications suivantes :
- Une très bonne connaissance du rallye
- l’aptitude à s’exprimer en public et par écrit
- une aptitude marquée à diriger un organisme sans but lucratif
- un engagement ferme envers le travail d’équipe
- l’aptitude à travailler avec divers groupes dont les organisateurs de rallye, les compétiteurs, les travailleurs bénévoles, les commanditaires et les médias.
- la maîtrise du français et de l’anglais sera considérée un atout.
Le président, en collaboration avec le conseil de CARS, établit les priorités, les buts et les objectifs annuels et à long terme. Il ou elle dirige toutes les réunions du conseil, représente CARS au comité consultatif d’ASN Canada FIA et agit aussi comme chef du conseil à l’occasion.
Les nominations seront acceptées jusqu’au 15 décembre 2011.
